
Snowmaking Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Effectively oversee the snowmaking team, which includes interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining personnel; addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
• Maintain all snowmaking machinery and equipment, including compressors, pumps, control systems, and any other components related to the snowmaking process.
• Provide advice and recommendations regarding purchasing decisions for equipment, capital investments, design, and operational practices.
• Assist in leading and directing the design, planning, and installation of snowmaking expansion and repair initiatives.
• Implement long-term strategies focused on energy efficiency, reducing water consumption, and minimizing snowmaking operations within the constraints of seasonal temperatures, operational dates, and event schedules.
• Oversee and manage all summer maintenance projects.
• Prepare and adhere to the annual budget.
• Ensure timely and accurate compensation for all staff.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid, current unrestricted Driver’s License is required.
• Previous snowmaking experience is required.
• Prior management experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain an ASC snowmobile license.
• Intermediate skiing/snowboarding skills are preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background and DMV check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capable of managing and leading diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Skilled in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective in delegating tasks, empowering teams while ensuring accountability.
