This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Lead Conversion & Nurturing: Proactively engage in outbound follow-ups via phone, email, and WhatsApp with warm, pre-qualified SME applicants who have expressed interest in funding.
• Pipeline Momentum: Operate with energy and urgency to ensure that no funding opportunity is overlooked, guiding busy business owners step-by-step through their application journey.
• Document Chasing & Assistance: Provide active support to applicants in completing their funding applications by following up on outstanding financial documents and required onboarding information.
• Database Mining & Re-engagement: Regularly reconnect with older leads in the historical database where previous interactions may have cooled, uncovering hidden potential.
• CRM Hygiene & Tracking: Keep a pristine sales pipeline within a CRM environment (Pipedrive), diligently updating client information, lead stages, and detailed follow-up actions.
• Sales Team & Operations Support: Work closely with the broader sales team, assisting them with lead tracking, pipeline updates, conversion activities, and reporting for the affiliate lead program.
• Client Query Resolution: Act as a dedicated frontline contact for prospects, addressing inbound inquiries with professional warmth and ensuring that no client is overlooked.
• Language Proficiency: Naturally fluent in Afrikaans and English, possessing the versatile communication skills necessary to clearly and confidently explain a financial product to a diverse array of SME owner-managers across various industries and locations.
• Track Record: Proven success and solid experience in frontline sales, sales support, lead conversion, customer success, or relationship management—preferably in recruitment, financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, vehicle finance, broker support, or asset finance.
• The Right Mindset: A proactive and resilient individual who genuinely enjoys engaging with business owners and knows how to blend professional warmth with a sense of urgency.
• Resilient Follow-Through: The capability to consistently and pleasantly follow up with busy clients, maintaining a highly professional, patient, and solution-oriented approach at all times.
• Tech-Agility: Strong proficiency with CRM systems (experience with Pipedrive is a significant advantage) and comfort in working with pipeline data.
• Education & Grit: While a diploma or degree is beneficial, it is not essential. We value evidence of your ability to persevere through challenging tasks, effectively manage a pipeline, and follow through consistently.
