Slovak – English OPI/VRI Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields. Training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or modifying any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Slovak".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
