SketchUp, 3D Rendering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Transform 2D architectural drawings (.dwg, PDF, etc.) into precise SketchUp models for sales-space design.

• Convert finalized SketchUp room layouts into high-resolution renderings, animations, and materials suitable for presentations.

• Construct room shells incorporating architectural details, materials, and lighting elements.

• Generate photorealistic renderings for client presentations, featuring customer logos and individual equipment representations.

• Create 3D walkthroughs and animated videos showcasing day/night scenes and visual effects.

• Possibly develop website and marketing renderings.

• May convert SolidWorks engineering models into SketchUp.

• Potentially undertake advanced rendering and post-processing for larger-scale projects.

• Investigate and utilize emerging visualization technologies, including VR and immersive customer experiences.

• Assist the sales and visualization team of a Midwest manufacturer specializing in strength-training and fitness equipment for educational institutions nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with SketchUp and photorealistic rendering techniques.

• Familiarity with rendering software such as V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or comparable tools.

• Capability to convert .dwg/PDF architectural drawings into well-structured SketchUp models.

• Strong portfolio showcasing renderings, animations, and walkthroughs.

• Quick, dependable turnaround with effective communication skills.

• Must currently reside in the United States and work from within the U.S.

• Preference for candidates based in Iowa or the Midwest; Central/Eastern Iowa is a plus.

• Possess SketchUp/rendering software and a valid license.

• Available for immediate start and ongoing contractual engagement.

• Capable of delivering fast turnaround; previous projects typically required same-day or overnight completion.

• Submit a portfolio/reel of relevant SketchUp and rendering work along with your hourly rate.
