Site Manager / Construction Manager – Substation Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will oversee our on-site operations for our 110/400 kV transformer substation projects.

• As our on-site representative, you will serve as the primary contact for our client, coordinating your site team along with our subcontractors for civil and installation tasks.

• Plan and manage all site activities in adherence to relevant occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations, while also contributing to the development of work and safety instructions.

• Supervise all site operations, including the management of subcontractors, to ensure seamless site functionality.

• Act as the main point of contact for the client and lead site meetings.

• Monitor quality, costs, and timelines during construction, and provide regular updates to project management.

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with installation activities, reporting them to project management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed training or degree in electrical engineering, along with several years of professional experience; additional qualifications as a technician or master craftsman are advantageous.

• Experience as a site/construction manager on substation projects or similar projects (e.g., oil & gas, power plants), or familiarity with the installation of high-voltage components is preferred.

• Strong commitment to health and safety (EHS) in accordance with international standards; the ability to identify and halt unsafe practices is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities, along with strong organizational skills and the proficiency to produce clear reports.

• Lean mindset: open to continuous training, new tools, and ongoing improvement.

• Willingness to travel within Germany and the Netherlands.

• Proficient in German, both spoken and written; knowledge of English is a plus.

• Valid Driver's license Class B.
