Site Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the SRE and Infrastructure teams, promoting operational excellence and nurturing a culture of reliability and accountability.

• Develop and implement the comprehensive infrastructure and reliability strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.

• Supervise the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, highly available, and secure systems.

• Set and track SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs to ensure consistent service performance and uptime.

• Manage incident response processes, including root cause analysis, postmortems, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate reliability and scalability into the development lifecycle.

• Advocate for automation, observability, and proactive monitoring to reduce downtime and enhance system health.

• Oversee infrastructure costs, capacity planning, and resource optimization.

• Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a robust leadership pipeline.

• Ensure compliance with best practices in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or SRE, with a minimum of 3–5 years in an Engineering Manager or leadership capacity.

• Demonstrated expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

• Significant experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and contemporary infrastructure architectures.

• Profound knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proven ability to lead and expand distributed engineering teams.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on system-level analysis and root cause identification.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
