Site Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the engineering execution onsite from the test plan to steady-state operation.

• Convert P&IDs, process designs, and engineering packages into installed and commissioned systems in the field.

• Oversee daily technical activities on-site, including contractor coordination, punch lists, field modifications, and issue resolution.

• Evaluate system performance against design objectives and promptly identify and communicate technical issues.

• Act as Mantel's primary engineering contact with the host site and its technical teams, in collaboration with the Commissioning Director.

• Liaise with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and host-site operations personnel.

• Ensure a safe, professional, and collaborative working environment at all times.

• Keep accurate site documentation, including as-builts, field change notices, commissioning logs, and performance data.

• Create clear and concise site updates and engineering reports for the VP of Engineering and the wider project team.

• Assist in data collection and system monitoring for the technical validation of the demonstration.

• Highlight field observations and operational insights to inform design improvements and scaling strategies.

• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to bridge the gap between design intent and actual performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering, with practical site or field engineering experience, including at least one commissioning or startup campaign.

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
