Site EHS Specialist – Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Operations leadership to implement EHS Programs at Thailand ONW FSA Wind Farm locations.

• Ensure the application of GE Vernova Life Saving Rules, EHS Programs, and procedures that comply with both GE Vernova and local EHS Management regulations.

• Lead the successful implementation of EHS Management systems that align with GE Vernova ONW expectations by providing support and guidance to the operations team.

• Ensure that EHS & Regulatory compliance is consistently met at service sites in Thailand, achieving 100% effectiveness.

• Mentor and guide key influencers, including managers, on strategies to cultivate an organizational culture that emphasizes EHS.

• Ensure compliance by coordinating with stakeholders including Operations/MCU Leaders/Blade Services/sourcing to implement both GE Vernova and legislative EHS programs and training requirements.

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and promote accountability in Thailand.

• Oversee the development of EHS risk management processes and facilitate their implementation and ongoing maintenance.

• Assist and coach the OPS team in incident investigations, employing root cause analysis methods to accurately identify incident root causes and address corrective actions.

• Engage with a diverse range of third parties, including Customers, Contractors/Subcontractors, emergency services, and regulatory agencies on EHS matters as needed.

• Provide and, when necessary, assist in the creation of EHS training, while maintaining records of competency and training completion.

• Conduct audits and inspections, managing any third-party EHS inspections in accordance with GE Vernova's expectations, including timely closure of audit findings.

• Foster a positive EHS culture, including STOP WORK Authority for all personnel, including third parties, and support the implementation of EHS incentive programs as well as Just and Fair Cause processes.

• Possess problem-solving skills to lead teams in determining root causes and developing practical solutions.

• Manage EHS meetings with GE/Partner/Subcontractors or other third parties as necessary, and support all other demands as assigned according to business needs (including governance audits across ONW business, any EHS support from the EHS COE Team, etc. Not inclusive of all.)

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field (such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc.).

• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in health and safety roles and operations, preferably within a multinational organization working with cross-functional teams.

• An Occupational Health and Safety or related technical degree from an accredited university or college, and/or a professional qualification in a technical field and/or comparable education (ASP/CSP/NEBOSH IGC preferred).

• Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both Thai and English languages.

• Strong understanding of EHS management systems, EHS standards, and EHS & Safety regulations is essential.

• Willingness and flexibility to travel 20-25% of the time, both domestically and internationally as required.

• Ability to work well at heights and to climb (no height phobia or vertigo).

• Must possess a valid Thailand Driving License.
