This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Articulate Foster America's mission and collaboratively designed vision of Colorado leaders into clear priorities and a practical action plan.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Colorado’s dynamic landscape to inform and adapt Foster America’s strategies.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities where Foster America’s partnerships can enhance family-centered innovation.
• Cultivate operational and funding relationships that support and expand our impact.
• Promote Foster America's viewpoint and core values in state-level policy, practice, and public discussions.
• Sustain and enhance the health, coherence, and momentum of the Reimagining Child Welfare in Colorado initiative.
• Lead the collaborative efforts of the Reimagining Committee by designing agendas, preparing materials, and facilitating sessions.
• Foster and deepen genuine partnerships across government agencies, community organizations, lived experts, and funders.
• Amplify the voices and leadership of lived experts throughout the committee's activities.
• Spearhead the strategic implementation of the 211 Warmline pilot in collaboration with the Kempe Center and CDHS.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager with evaluation and learning partners.
• Provide clear and timely updates for the Reimagining Committee, private and public funders, and other key stakeholders.
• Create high-stakes strategic materials to ensure coherence across a multi-partner initiative.
• Proven ability to set direction, build a shared vision, and translate strategy into actionable steps across a multi-year, multi-stakeholder initiative.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives with numerous interdependent partners.
• Expertise in designing and leading high-stakes meetings and learning sessions.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and compelling materials for a variety of audiences.
• A history of establishing and maintaining authentic partnerships across diverse groups.
• Experience in enhancing the capacity, confidence, and commitment of peer and senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable collaborating with researchers and evaluators to bridge data with practical application.
• Extensive knowledge of child welfare, family strengthening, or prevention systems.
• Experience managing funder relationships and contributing to funding strategies.
• Ability to represent and interpret the work for external audiences.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in public administration, social work, public policy, or a related field is highly preferred.
• A minimum of eight to ten years of relevant experience is anticipated at this level.
• Profound familiarity with Colorado's social service landscape, government culture, and community ecosystems is essential.
