Shopify Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Serve as our in-house Shopify specialist for e-commerce websites.

• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to create design solutions aimed at enhancing website usability by developing custom Shopify themes or modifying existing ones.

• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Java, .NET, and XML.

• Responsible for implementing third-party solutions and applications.

• Eager to learn how to develop on the Silverstripe platform.

• Experience in creating front-end web applications that operate effectively across all devices using contemporary languages and frameworks.

• Oversee our site codebase, ensuring that all code is utilized or appropriately removed.

• Guarantee consistently high performance on all major devices and browsers, including quick loading times and error-free core functionality.

• Collaborate with e-commerce stakeholders to define new requests, prioritize, and execute those requests.

• Work closely with the team to ensure the practicality and functionality of designs.

• Partner with the e-commerce team to apply SEO/CRO best practices on Shopify sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of the Shopify platform with a minimum of 2−3 years of experience.

• Experience in adopting a mobile-first approach.

• Proficient in common web development languages, including HTML5, Liquid, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery frameworks (such as MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js).

• Proven experience in developing front-end web applications that function well on all devices using current languages and frameworks.

• Familiarity with Shopify Liquid and scripts.

• Experience in building Shopify apps, custom applications, and utilizing third-party APIs.

• Proficient with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

• Knowledge of W3C web standards, semantics, and accessibility guidelines is preferred.

• Background in web design.

• Experience with SilverStripe is a plus, but we welcome the opportunity for you to learn on the job.

• Must be available to work across some of the New Zealand Time Zone to accommodate shared meetings.
