Shopify Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ownership of Shopify development and store management

• Complete technical responsibility for the Shopify store, including theme development, custom sections, and Liquid

• Development and upkeep of custom themes using Shopify 2.0 (Dawn / headless-ready)

• Implementation and enhancement of performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, LCP, CLS)

• Integration and oversight of third-party applications, custom scripts, and API connections

• Creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for all Shopify processes

• Technical execution of UX/UI concepts in close collaboration with Brand & Design teams

• Independent development and evaluation of A/B tests

• Optimization of crucial conversion flows and customer journeys: PDP, checkout, upsell flows, product finder

• Design and further development of a customer loyalty program

• Continuous analysis of shop metrics (CR, ATC, checkout completion, AOV) and development of actionable insights

• Co-responsibility for decisions regarding technical stack (apps, tools, APIs, tracking)

• Integration of marketing technology solutions

• Close cooperation with Marketing (CRM, campaign landing pages), Brand (visual implementation), and Operations (fulfillment processes)

• Technical briefing and quality assurance of external service providers and freelancers

• Active participation in shaping the roadmap for the webshop platform strategy

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Shopify development (Liquid, theme architecture, Shopify 2.0)

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and JSON

• Practical experience with the Shopify app ecosystem (Recharge, Klaviyo, Judge.me, or similar)

• Demonstrated success in conversion optimization (A/B testing, enhancements in CR)

• Independent and structured working style

• Fluent in German with good command of English.
