SharePoint Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Administration of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform.

• Act as the main administrator and technical expert for SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and associated Microsoft 365 services.

• Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint sites, document management processes, permissions, governance standards, and workflows.

• Develop and sustain Power Automate flows and Power Apps solutions to enhance business processes and minimize manual tasks.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to pinpoint and execute productivity enhancements, automation prospects, and AI-driven applications within the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Advocate for effective utilization of Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and automation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams, assisting them in rethinking and improving processes through Microsoft tools and automation.

• Identify opportunities to maximize existing licenses and capabilities prior to introducing new tools or vendors.

• Create scalable, reusable automation patterns and best practices for Power Automate and related tools.

• Support the adoption of AI and automation features within Microsoft 365, guiding teams on practical use cases to drive measurable efficiency improvements.

• Develop lightweight governance and standards for automation, workflow design, and solution lifecycle management.

• Keep track of Microsoft's product roadmap, service updates, licensing modifications, and platform enhancements.

• Evaluate the implications of upcoming Microsoft changes and new features, particularly in automation and AI, and communicate recommendations.

• Provide guidance on best practices throughout the Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.

• Administer and maintain SolarWinds monitoring solutions.

• Configure and optimize monitoring across servers, storage, networking, applications, and cloud services.

• Develop dashboards, alerts, reporting, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Analyze trends and suggest enhancements to performance and reliability.

• Manage and support a Nutanix-based virtual infrastructure and Windows server environment.

• Conduct system administration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance across platforms.

• Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.

• Oversee enterprise backup solutions and guarantee successful execution of backup and recovery processes.

• Execute periodic backup validation and disaster recovery testing.

• Maintain documentation related to backup procedures and business continuity requirements.

• Configure and uphold enterprise firewall platforms.

• Implement security policies, access controls, VPN configurations, and segmentation strategies.

• Monitor security events and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

• Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Hands-on experience in administering Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environments.

• Experience in building or supporting Power Automate workflows and/or Power Apps solutions.

• Strong understanding of business process improvement and automation concepts.

• Familiarity with SolarWinds monitoring and alerting platforms.

• Experience in supporting Nutanix infrastructure and Windows Server environments.

• Background in managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions.

• Knowledge of firewall administration, VPN technologies, and principles of network security.

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
