Session Border Controller Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, configure, and provide support for Ribbon Communications (previously known as Sonus) SBC solutions.

• Implement and oversee Microsoft Teams Direct Routing along with enterprise voice integrations.

• Configure and address issues related to SIP trunks, VoIP, RTP, SRTP, TLS, and voice connectivity.

• Integrate Ribbon SBC platforms with Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco CUCM, Avaya Aura, Mitel, and other Unified Communications platforms.

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system upgrades, migrations, and optimization efforts.

• Assist in secure SBC deployments utilizing certificates, encryption, firewall traversal, and best practices in network security.

• Develop technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.

• Offer Level III/IV technical support and guidance within enterprise voice environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting enterprise voice, VoIP, and Unified Communications environments.

• Significant hands-on experience with Ribbon Communications (Sonus) SBC platforms.

• Proficiency in SIP signaling, SIP Trunking, RTP/SRTP, TLS, DNS, NAT traversal, and Quality of Service (QoS).

• Experience in implementing Microsoft Teams Direct Routing solutions.

• Experience in integrating enterprise voice platforms such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya Aura, and Mitel.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, analysis, communication, and documentation.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Ribbon SBC Edge/Core and Ribbon Analytics.

• Knowledge of AudioCodes or Oracle SBC platforms.

• Experience in supporting cloud and hybrid Unified Communications environments.

• Understanding of Azure/AWS, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and enterprise network security.
