This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Develop and enhance closing calendars, checklists, schedules, and reporting packages.
• Prepare and evaluate consolidated financial statements and financial reports.
• Examine fluctuations and variances in collaboration with FP&A and business partners.
• Investigate and document technical accounting issues while supporting complex transactions such as equity-based compensation, acquisitions, and ASC 606.
• Direct statutory and annual financial audits involving external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Uphold accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Ensure the consistent application of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and investor reporting standards.
• Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system, including General Ledger design, accounting requirements, testing, and execution.
• Automate and enhance accounting processes.
• Document accounting processes and controls while establishing sustainable operational practices.
• Lead, manage, and mentor Senior Accountants and other accounting team members.
• Foster relationships with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Operations, and other cross-functional collaborators.
• Act as the accounting liaison for Operations and Treasury, overseeing cash accounts and international assets.
• Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on financial analyses, special projects, and strategic initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, encompassing general accounting and financial reporting.
• Public accounting experience is preferred, ideally transitioning into a corporate accounting setting.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and experience with GAAP, consolidation, and intricate accounting issues.
• Proven experience in leading or making significant contributions to ERP implementations, accounting systems, or process improvement projects.
• Experience in managing, coaching, and developing accounting professionals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while ensuring precision and meeting deadlines.
• Hands-on, collaborative approach, comfortable working across various functions and organizational levels.
• Experience in a multinational or global organization is highly desirable.
