Corporate Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of the accounting department, encompassing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, revenue accounting, and the month-end closing process.

• Ensure prompt and precise financial reporting in line with U.S. GAAP standards.

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Maintain a robust internal control framework and guarantee adherence to company policies and accounting regulations.

• Assess accounting workflows and introduce standardized, scalable processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on matters concerning customers, billing, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting challenges.

• Enhance financial systems and pinpoint opportunities for automation.

• Create controls that mitigate risk while promoting efficient operations.

• Refine the accuracy of billing and invoicing procedures.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture the accounting team.

• Set performance metrics and drive ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with the CFO to develop a strategy for a world-class accounting function.

• Manage the PCAOB audit process and ensure its completion.

• Establish the operational groundwork that supports Experity’s future growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in accounting.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and internal control systems.

• Proven track record of enhancing accounting operations, standardizing processes, and fortifying financial controls.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management capabilities.

• Ability to juggle strategic priorities with hands-on execution as necessary.

• Responsible for the ownership and completion of the PCAOB audit process.

• Experience in leading accounting teams within a private equity context is preferred.

• Background in software, SaaS, healthcare technology, healthcare services, or complex multi-entity environments is preferred.

• Experience in leading enhancements for NetSuite ERP or similar accounting systems is preferred.

• CPA designation is highly preferred.
