This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with the initial setup and operational management of ServiceNow instances across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Oversee, configure, and maintain ServiceNow instances to ensure availability, performance, stability, security, and supportability.
• Prepare and assist with instance cloning, upgrades, health checks, patching, and release activities.
• Manage the promotion of configuration changes between environments following approved deployment and change management procedures.
• Configure plugins and platform features in line with architectural, security, licensing, and governance standards.
• Monitor instance health, performance, diagnostics, scheduled jobs, logs, integrations, and technical liabilities.
• Provide daily platform administration, end-user provisioning, and ITSM ticket triage.
• Establish and uphold platform governance, configuration standards, development controls, environment management, and release protocols.
• Maintain configuration records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), environment diagrams, access matrices, runbooks, and governance documentation.
• Assist with CAB, RFC, compliance, security assessments, ATO, vulnerability remediation, POA&M, continuous monitoring, audit readiness, STIG, and CIS benchmark tasks.
• Configure users, groups, roles, ACLs, authentication/SSO, MFA dependencies, encryption, audit logging, privileged access, service accounts, credentials, certificates, and secrets.
• Support integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, MID Servers, APIs, connection aliases, credentials, and endpoints.
• Collaborate with cloud, network, database, identity, infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, DevOps, architecture, and VA stakeholder teams.
• Diagnose and resolve platform, integration, authentication, and application issues using logs and diagnostic tools.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for incidents, service requests, and escalations.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles.
• Suggest enhancements for performance, modernization, operational efficiency, security posture, and technical debt.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in system or platform administration within enterprise or federal environments.
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration.
• Proficient in configuring ServiceNow users, groups, roles, ACLs, authentication, instance properties, plugins, notifications, scheduled jobs, integrations, and security measures.
• Experience in supporting ServiceNow implementations or initial setups across development, test, staging, and production phases.
• Practical experience with instance upgrades, cloning, health checks, release management, and configuration promotions.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow governance models, configuration standards, change controls, and administrative practices.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow security architecture, least-privilege access, audit logging, privileged access, and secure integrations.
• Experience supporting SSO and identity integrations, preferably with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks, STIGs, secure configuration practices, and ATO support tasks.
• Experience documenting platform configurations, procedures, security controls, and operational standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in ServiceNow using platform logs, scheduled jobs, integration logs, and diagnostic tools.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification, CAD or implementation certifications, Security+, ITIL, Microsoft, Red Hat, AWS, Azure Administrator, automation tools, and cloud operations experience are advantageous.
