This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee and manage ServiceNow instances across development, testing, and production environments.
• Configure essential platform elements, including users, groups, roles, access controls, system properties, platform settings, and reference data.
• Assist in the foundational configuration of new environments and support platform setup.
• Ensure platform stability through proactive monitoring, controlled configuration, and adherence to ServiceNow administration best practices.
• Administer Role-Based Access Control, Access Control Lists, user criteria, and data visibility rules for applications such as Knowledge Management and Service Catalog.
• Configure and support LDAP integration, SSO authentication, and activities related to platform security hardening.
• Manage update sets, application promotions, and release migration activities efficiently.
• Support updates for the ServiceNow Store and application repository, including scoped application lifecycle management.
• Conduct and coordinate instance cloning activities across different environments.
• Assist with platform upgrades, patching, and regression validation.
• Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and error reports to proactively address issues.
• Create and execute structured test plans for platform modifications.
• Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework test suites.
• Facilitate regression testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing during upgrades and releases.
• Uphold the integrity of CMDB records, configuration items, relationships, reference data, and core platform data structures.
• Administer Knowledge Management, including its lifecycle, publishing, and access controls.
• Ensure that test evidence and documentation align with audit and compliance requirements.
• Assist in validating and troubleshooting platform integrations, including REST/SOAP data flows where applicable.
• Support platform governance processes, encompassing change workflows, release controls, naming conventions, configuration standards, and guidelines for citizen development.
• Monitor instance health, respond to platform incidents, troubleshoot issues using logs and diagnostics, maintain documentation, and collaborate with developers, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in ServiceNow administration.
• Practical experience in administering and supporting ServiceNow environments across development, test, and production instances.
• Strong understanding of user, group, and role administration; fundamentals of ACLs and security models; system properties and platform configuration; as well as update sets and release promotion processes.
• Experience with LDAP integration and SSO configuration.
• Proven experience supporting platform testing and structured validation efforts.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret system logs and platform behavior.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
