Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Providing on-site water treatment services and technical assistance to clients throughout the Mount Isa region.

• Overseeing and managing chemical inventory levels for cooling, boiler, and wastewater treatment systems, which includes ordering chemicals and organizing the disposal of empty drums.

• Performing regular sampling and testing of cooling and boiler water systems, diagnosing issues, and executing corrective measures.

• Accurately documenting test results and system data in DrewTrax or other specified record-keeping systems.

• Inspecting, maintaining, cleaning, and troubleshooting chemical dosing and monitoring apparatus.

• Establishing strong connections with site maintenance teams through consistent communication and support.

• Collecting and sending biological samples and executing or overseeing cooling tower cleaning activities as necessary.

• Installing and retrieving corrosion coupons to aid in water treatment monitoring.

• Detecting and reporting water or chemical leaks, equipment malfunctions, and other irregular conditions.

• Conducting equipment recalibration, reprogramming, and manual chemical dosing as needed.

• Upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and documentation in all site operations.

• Exhibits safe work practices and can recognize potential hazards.

• Previous experience with boilers, cooling towers, or both.

• Possesses mechanical aptitude.

• Self-motivated with the capability to manage and prioritize personal workload.

• Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to engage with customers.

• Potential for growth into an account manager position.

• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.

• A trade certificate or degree in Chemistry/Science is highly regarded.
