This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver outstanding technical service on Smardt chillers, encompassing both indoor and outdoor equipment.
• Conduct equipment startups, commissioning, troubleshooting, warranty work, and regular maintenance activities.
• Accurately, safely, and professionally diagnose and resolve operational issues.
• Travel within the designated local market and occasionally beyond, as business needs dictate.
• Clearly communicate with customers about equipment operation, maintenance needs, services performed, and any unresolved issues.
• Execute installations, equipment deliveries, and removals in line with company standards.
• Maintain availability for on-call emergency service, typically for about one week every one to two months, or as business demands require.
• Ensure all tools, testing devices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and service equipment are safe, well-maintained, and utilized in accordance with company standards.
• Advise customers on repair, replacement, or service alternatives as appropriate.
• Encourage service agreements and additional service work to enhance customer satisfaction and equipment reliability.
• Utilize technical support from the head office or other internal resources when necessary.
• Accurately complete service documentation, reports, and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols, customer site requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in HVAC field service.
• Experience in chiller service is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Turbocor and/or magnetic bearing systems is a significant asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical school diploma, HVAC certification, or equivalent technical training is preferred.
• EPA certification is required where applicable.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chillers, refrigeration cycles, and associated mechanical/electrical components.
• Capability to troubleshoot complex HVAC and chiller operational issues.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, service bulletins, and equipment documentation.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, diagnostic tools, and testing equipment.
• Competent in using computer systems, mobile applications, and service software to finalize service reports and access technical documentation.
