Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Commission the Solbank Storage Power Block for CSI Energy Storage.

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on SPB’s to comply with warranty standards.

• Manage obligations for BESS equipment under LTSA’s, which may entail: Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC's), Power Conversion Stations (PCS), Ring Main Units (RMU's) / Switchgear, Transformers, SCADA, and networking devices.

• Deliver onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to maintain equipment and fulfill availability and capacity assurances.

• Participate in the current call-out rota on a 4 in 1 basis.

• Supervise and oversee subcontractors on-site as necessary.

• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and processes.

• Complete work order documentation promptly.

• Ensure the accuracy of spare parts inventory.

• Execute proper LOTO and switching procedures as required.

• Provide support for client training during the commissioning phase.

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies.

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a qualified Electrical Technician.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy.

• CSCS Certification is required.

• Previous training and knowledge of inverters is essential.

• Experience with SCADA systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and Energy Storage system applications is a plus.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel).

• Prior experience with a CMMS software program is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

• First Aid Training is essential.

• Must be willing to travel to regional locations as required (over 80% of the time).

• Ability to perform effectively both independently and as part of a team.
