Service Representative – Life and Retirement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist educators by responding to inquiries regarding their life and retirement insurance policies

• Deliver outstanding customer service through phone calls, emails, and live chat interactions

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of Horace Mann Life and Retirement insurance products, services, and policies

• Address and resolve customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat

• Ensure an excellent customer experience through both written and verbal communication

• Responsible for proactively upselling and cross-selling insurance solutions to the existing customer base

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required (Bachelor’s degree is preferred)

• Preferred 2+ years of experience in customer service, business, or sales

• Experience in the insurance or finance industry is advantageous

• Basic mathematical skills and ability to interpret billing information

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to demonstrate active listening, navigate systems, conduct research, solve problems, think critically, and manage time effectively
