This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist Distribution partners in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
• Serve as a liaison to support internal partners in securing new business.
• Address inquiries related to benefit plans and resolve complex and escalated issues.
• Advocate for successful outcomes for all parties involved.
• Initiate requests for amendments, ensuring all information is thorough and complete.
• Collaborate with our Customer Experience and Operations teams.
• Support various internal initiatives concerning Group Benefits services, products, and procedures.
• Organize and facilitate meetings with our Plan Advisors/Consultants and Plan Sponsors.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding Group Benefits designs.
• Create client reports and conduct data analysis.
• Offer expertise on Manulife’s digital experience for group benefits clients.
• Present to employee groups.
• Conduct customer workshops and training sessions focused on product updates.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in Group Benefits.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Group Benefits products and services.
• Ability to build and enhance relationships with existing clients and consultants/advisors.
• Proven capability to take initiative, manage oneself effectively, and demonstrate integrity.
• GBA designation or progress towards this designation is a plus.
• Solid understanding of underwriting concepts.
• Strong technical and analytical skills using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Web Analytics platforms.
• Exceptional presentation skills and the capacity to influence decision-makers across various areas of the organization.
• Excellent customer-facing skills, encompassing expectation management, communication, and information management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment; must be a self-starter with innovative thinking.
• Outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relationship-oriented; comfortable collaborating with individuals at various levels.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a personal automobile are required.
