Service Excellence Lead HVAC Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Ensuring the ongoing excellent performance of Budderfly HVAC Units within your designated region. This encompasses the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and equipment.

• Identifying potential maintenance risks associated with HVAC/R equipment.

• Diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC/R systems.

• Conducting commissioning checks on HVAC Units to guarantee their efficient operation. This includes verifying and adjusting HVAC RTU controller configurations along with the mechanical functioning of the units.

• Performing physical maintenance on Budderfly HVAC Units, which includes tasks such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting or replacing belts, and examining units for any additional mechanical failures.

• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems while also carrying out warranty services.

• Executing emergency repairs swiftly and effectively.

• Maintaining daily logs and records of all activities in the Company work order system.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Adhering to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.

• Assisting customers with their inquiries.

• On-call responsibilities are not required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems.

• An HVAC License and EPA Certification are mandatory.

• Experience with HVAC Controls is essential, and familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is advantageous.

• Capability to identify control and mechanical issues before they escalate.

• A commitment to continuous learning, supported by your organization, both technically and professionally.

• Aspiration to advance professionally beyond being “just a filter changer.”

• A desire to contribute to the development of a growing team of HVAC/R technicians in your area.

• A focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

• Willingness to travel within Charlotte, NC, and nearby regions.

• Flexibility to work on some weekends is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate across various Teams within the organization.

• A Budderfly truck and all necessary tools will be provided.
