This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• The Service Contracts Managers are tasked with the creation, revision, and upkeep of electronic Statements of Work (SOWs).
• This position facilitates the provision of Professional Services to both internal and external clients by aiding in SOW development and ensuring quality assurance for all outgoing service opportunities.
• Applies principles of technical communication to enhance the readability and usability of SOWs for delivery teams.
• Handles a significant volume of SOWs and deadlines concurrently.
• Assists in managing daily Sales inquiries.
• Produces pricing breakdowns for service offerings.
• May contribute to the design of documentation templates.
• Guarantees accuracy, quality, and a consistent style in line with Optiv and industry standards.
• Adheres to Optiv security protocols, maintains professional standards, and conducts all tasks respectfully.
• Recognizes the importance of safeguarding corporate and client assets.
• Keeps up-to-date with the SOW development process.
• Complies with SOW Management procedures concerning SOW creation, documentation tracking, communication, and other required tasks.
• Utilizes Salesforce.com, Desk, Box, and Zoom for communication, historical reference, activity tracking, action item creation, and forecasting; uses Workday for time tracking.
• Develops expertise in Optiv’s professional services while committing to ongoing knowledge retention and experience in the professional services sector.
• Acts as a resource for customers, sales teams, and SOW Management leadership by maintaining knowledgeable, responsive, and organized practices.
• Communicates effectively and positively with clients, Sales, Operations, and Service Delivery.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as necessary.
• Ensures SOWs and projects are delivered accurately, on schedule, and at a volume consistent with the team.
• Ensures compliance with both internal and external standards.
• Achieves successful application of SOWs by Operations and Delivery teams.
• Guarantees timely delivery and accuracy of SOW documents.
• Consistently produces SOWs in alignment with team expectations.
• Stays committed to defined processes.
• Provides preliminary feedback to management regarding non-standard SOW issues, demonstrating critical thinking abilities.
• Cultivates relationships with immediate team members and peers.
• Communicates effectively and positively with stakeholders regarding SOW development statuses and procedures.
• Volunteers for additional workload when required.
• Proficient in all necessary tools for the development and maintenance of SOWs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field; or 4 or more years of equivalent work experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in SOW (Statement of Work)/contract management or a related role.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional writing experience is required, with a strong preference for technical writing experience.
• Familiarity with contractual requirements, negotiations, processes, and risk management preferred (non-3P).
• Experience in IT professional services is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate consistently across teams.
• Capable of effectively conveying ideas and processes in a professional manner to both external and internal clients.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in PC computer skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Salesforce and Box preferred, or familiarity with other CRM and document management systems.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate with national clients and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documentation, including contracts and process documents.
• Capable of writing reports, effective business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, percentages, and currency conversions. Competency in applying basic algebra concepts.
• Superior critical thinking skills, including the ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage various abstract and concrete variables.
