Service & Commissioning Engineer – Vapour Control & Combustion Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Perform service, maintenance, tuning, renovations, and modifications on vapor equipment.

• Lead and assist with site commissioning efforts, including checks on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

• Execute loop checks, wiring adjustments, functional testing, and cause & effect verification.

• Create clear and professional reports and documentation for commissioning activities.

• Provide operator training and technical assistance to end users.

• Engage in hotline support and troubleshooting efforts.

• Offer technical expertise and equipment selection support to sales, tendering, and project teams.

• Participate in supplier inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

• Oversee site activities in accordance with quality, safety, schedule, and scope specifications.

• Supervise subcontractors as necessary.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance products, services, and customer solutions.

• Assist and mentor colleagues in Zeeco's global offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in commissioning, servicing, or maintaining industrial process equipment.

• Strong knowledge of valves, instrumentation, electrical systems, and rotating machinery.

• Understanding of combustion principles and ATEX regulations.

• Capability to read and troubleshoot control systems and PLC I/O signals.

• Experience in producing RAMS and working under Permit to Work (PTW) systems.

• Hands-on approach with the ability to safely utilize tools and operate in industrial settings.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Willingness to travel internationally, including occasional weekends away – extensive travel throughout EMEA is required.

• Familiarity with VRU, VCU, FGRU, RTO, TOX, or similar vapor recovery/abatement technologies.

• Proficiency in additional European languages (German, Dutch, or French preferred).
