This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• As a Server Manager, you will be part of the central Digital Services division of the WBS GROUP, actively shaping the digital education landscape.

• Together with your team, you will manage and optimize our server environments and contribute to the implementation of new solutions.

• Responsible for the management, administration, and further development of servers (Windows and Linux).

• Planning, implementation, and commissioning of systems and services.

• Ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

• Provision and configuration of hardware, software, and access.

• Error analysis and documentation in German.

• Escalation management for problems and disruptions.

• Collaboration with internal teams for continuous optimization and standardization of the server landscape.

• Completed IT training, a degree in computer science, or comparable practical experience (including career changers).

• Solid knowledge of Windows (10/11, Server 2016–2025) and Linux (preferably Debian).

• Experience in the operation, planning, and commissioning of IT systems and services.

• Excellent knowledge of Active Directory (including GPO, DNS, Sites & Services, trust relationships).

• Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere), backup (Veeam), as well as Microsoft Terminal Servers and ideally PKI.

• Familiarity with monitoring systems (e.g., PRTG) and a fundamental understanding of networks and IT security.

• Fluent German language skills.
