Serbian VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Maintain the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to professional standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Serbian".

• A minimum of 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
