This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Develop competitive and persuasive audits, proposals, and reports.
• Proficiently utilize our software tools (such as MarketMuse, SEMRush, and Hrefs) to
• Evaluate the health of clients' websites.
• Identify errors and opportunities.
• Implement planned scopes related to site optimization or other technical SEO-specific tasks.
• Conduct SEO-focused research or optimization work for projects, including but not limited to: UX/website redesigns; extensive organic SEO efforts (including but not limited to keyword research); and backlink-centric projects.
• Utilize a robust understanding of Google Analytics.
• Be a flexible team player capable of handling various projects and collaborating with all teams.
• Remain a continual learner in SEO, applying insights to work and sharing knowledge with both internal and client-facing teams.
• 3-5 years or more of experience in contributing to or managing SEO programs, preferably within an agency environment.
• Proven success with previous SEO campaigns for medium to large brands, ideally including ecommerce companies.
• Strong grasp of cross-channel marketing principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive demeanor, and the ability to excel in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
• Advanced knowledge of technical SEO concepts (crawling, indexing, rendering, AMP, site migrations, page speed optimization, core web vitals, and more).
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Advanced understanding and practical experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console; familiarity with Tag Manager and/or Publisher Center is also a plus.
• Awareness of recent SEO developments such as Core Web Vitals, Google Discover, E-A-T, new Rich Results, and more.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they relate to search performance.
• Extensive knowledge and experience using standard and enterprise search tools and platforms (Botify, Sitebulb, Conductor Searchlight, Stat, SEMRush, Sistrix, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, etc.).
• Ability to meet scheduled and proposed deadlines.
• Comfort with and mastery of (or the ability to quickly learn) spreadsheet formats (Google Sheets, Excel).
• Proficient in formatting professional presentations and reports in MS PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Contractors must provide their own industry hardware and a stable internet connection.
