This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• **Role Overview** We are in search of an SEO Manager who will take charge of organic growth from start to finish and can implement strategies in both technical SEO and link acquisition.
• This is a practical role — you will engage directly with WordPress and custom-coded platforms, making changes independently where feasible, and driving measurable results: traffic, backlinks, and conversions (signups, sales calls, revenue).
• You should possess a developer mindset, a focus on growth, and the capability to deliver consistent, reliable SEO results (particularly in backlinks).
• **Key Responsibilities**
1. Organic Growth Ownership (Traffic → Signups → Revenue)
• - Take ownership of and enhance organic traffic as a primary acquisition channel
• - Optimize for business outcomes beyond just traffic:
• - Signups
• - Paid subscriptions
• - Conversion into sales calls
• - Identify and act on SEO opportunities that have a direct impact on the sales pipeline
2. Technical SEO + Hands-On Implementation
• - Collaborate directly with:
• - WordPress
• - Custom-coded website (both staging and production)
• - Implement SEO modifications autonomously when possible:
• - On-page optimization (meta tags, headers, internal linking)
• - Schema and structured data
• - Indexation and crawlability improvements
• - Conduct technical audits and resolve:
• - Rendering challenges (including JS SEO)
• - Site structure and internal linking issues
• - Core Web Vitals / performance metrics
• - Work competently across testing and production environments
3. Backlink Acquisition (Core KPI: Consistent Output)
• - Develop and implement a scalable backlink strategy
• - Deliver a predictable quantity of quality backlinks each month
• - Carry out outreach and partnerships personally
• - Concentrate on links that enhance rankings, rather than mere vanity placements
• - Monitor and report the influence of backlinks on rankings and traffic
4. Analytics & Execution
• - Utilize tools such as:
• - Google Search Console, GA4
• - Ahrefs / SEMrush
• - Screaming Frog
• - Track performance and continually optimize
• - Conduct SEO experiments and refine based on findings
• **Proven Performance**
• - Established success in boosting organic traffic
• - Capability to present at least two strong case studies, including:
• - Clear strategy
• - Actions undertaken
• - Measurable outcomes (traffic, rankings, conversions)
• **Technical & Execution Skills**
• - In-depth technical SEO knowledge
• - Proficiency with:
• - WordPress
• - Custom-coded websites (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript)
• - Comfort in implementing changes directly (not reliant on the development team)
• - Knowledge of staging versus production workflows
• **Backlink & Output Discipline**
• - Demonstrated experience in link building
• - Ability to consistently deliver predictable backlink output monthly
• - Emphasis on execution and results, not merely strategy
• **SaaS & Growth Understanding**
• - Experience with SaaS products
• - Comprehension of:
• - Acquisition funnels (traffic → signup → paid → sales call)
• - The role of SEO in generating revenue, not just visibility
• - Ability to align SEO strategies with product and go-to-market objectives
• **Nice to Have**
• - Experience in B2B SaaS
• - Knowledge of programmatic SEO
• - Basic scripting skills (Python/SQL)
• - Experience in early-stage or high-growth settings
