This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform thorough technical SEO audits on client websites and prioritize fixes based on their impact.
• Diagnose and address issues related to crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and structured data.
• Implement and maintain schema markup throughout law firm site templates using WordPress.
• Oversee management of redirects, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt configurations.
• Continuously monitor site health utilizing tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Google Search Console.
• Conduct keyword research and devise content strategies that align with each client's practice areas and target markets.
• Create detailed content briefs for writers that effectively translate SEO intent into actionable guidance.
• Audit and enhance existing on-page content for relevance, structure, and search intent.
• Identify content gaps and formulate plans to address them.
• Lead local SEO initiatives across client portfolios, including optimizing Google Business Profiles, citation building, and enhancing local pack performance.
• Monitor and elevate local rankings across target practice areas and geographical regions.
• Detect and rectify inconsistencies in local listings across directories and data aggregators.
• Track and report on keyword performance benchmarks, providing insights and recommending adjustments when targets are not met.
• Use Asana to manage tasks, track budgets, and communicate progress effectively with strategists.
• Collaborate with the wider SEO team to share insights, align on best practices, and contribute to process enhancements.
• Remain updated on algorithm changes, industry trends, and emerging SEO best practices within the legal sector.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical SEO experience with a proven track record in technical, content, and local SEO.
• Strong familiarity with WordPress, including the ability to implement technical SEO changes directly within the CMS and popular plugins (Yoast, RankMath, etc.).
• Expert-level skills with Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile.
• Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and the relationship between site performance and SEO.
• Proven capability to conduct keyword research and translate insights into clear content strategies and briefs.
• Experience managing local SEO for multi-location clients or businesses operating in various service areas.
• Highly organized, comfortable managing a substantial volume of client work using project management tools.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Previous agency experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience in the legal sector or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with log file analysis and crawl budget optimization.
• Experience in link building strategy and execution.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in relation to SEO implementation.
• Exposure to GA4, GTM, and setup for conversion tracking.
