SEO Manager

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Manager of Content Marketing to identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities that align with Givebutter's objectives for organic growth and visibility.

• Conduct keyword research, analyze content gaps, gather competitive intelligence, research the audience, and monitor search trends to discover impactful opportunities.

• Convert search insights, performance metrics, and market trends into actionable recommendations that guide content strategy, optimization focus, and future investments.

• Work closely with the Content, Brand, Growth, and Product Marketing teams to develop content plans, optimization strategies, and scalable processes that enhance discoverability and performance.

• Oversee the implementation of strategic SEO initiatives, ensuring projects progress efficiently and yield measurable results.

• Collaborate with the Technical SEO Manager to pinpoint, prioritize, and assess technical opportunities that enhance organic visibility, discoverability, and user experience.

• Manage external SEO agencies and partners by providing direction, reviewing outputs, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals and quality benchmarks.

• Create and refine frameworks, documentation, and processes that enhance the scalability, consistency, and effectiveness of SEO and discovery efforts over time.

• Advocate for experimentation across traditional search, AI-powered discovery, and emerging channels, utilizing structured testing and data-driven decision-making to identify new opportunities.

• Stay informed about changes in search behavior, platform developments, and industry trends, translating emerging opportunities into recommendations that support Givebutter's adaptation and growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of SEO experience with a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and generating measurable organic growth.

• Strong proficiency in content-driven SEO, on-page optimization, keyword strategy, and search-driven content planning.

• Familiarity with technical SEO concepts and the ability to work effectively on technical recommendations and prioritization.

• Expertise with leading SEO and analytics tools (e.g., GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker, etc.).

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize data, pinpoint opportunities, and communicate actionable insights.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and influencing priorities among content, marketing, product, and technical teams.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

• Experience developing workflows, frameworks, documentation, or systems that enhance team efficiency and scalability.

• Interest in emerging search behaviors, AI-driven discovery, and evolving opportunities beyond traditional search engines.
