This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the SEO strategy and implementation for a diverse range of home-services clients, including HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, junk removal, painting, and more.

• Develop and uphold SEO roadmaps that encompass technical enhancements, content development, local visibility, link building, and Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization.

• Assist in creating scalable SEO processes, templates, quality assurance checks, and reporting standards.

• Keep abreast of Google algorithm changes, AI-driven search trends, E-E-A-T factors, and local ranking dynamics.

• Enhance GBP rankings in primary and surrounding service cities through repeatable optimization strategies.

• Optimize categories, attributes, service areas, citations, photos/videos, and local trust signals.

• Perform city-level keyword research and local expansion planning to boost visibility.

• Support consistent performance in map pack results and local SERPs in competitive markets.

• Develop content strategies for service pages, location pages, blogs, and topical authority clusters.

• Create SEO briefs, outlines, and frameworks that align with search intent and semantic SEO principles.

• Review content for SEO quality, local relevance, and alignment with conversion goals.

• Work collaboratively with internal and external writers (both human and AI-assisted) to uphold content standards.

• Coordinate link acquisition efforts (citations, outreach, partnerships, placements) with precise objectives.

• Maintain straightforward, scalable backlink playbooks tailored for the home-service industry.

• Monitor backlink gaps and authority metrics, providing recommendations for enhancements.

• Conduct technical audits that cover crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, duplication, schema basics, and Core Web Vitals.

• Collaborate with WordPress and development teams to apply SEO fixes and enhancements.

• Support scalable site structures for multiple locations and internal linking strategies.

• Utilize GA4, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to track performance, uncover opportunities, and report progress.

• Partner with paid media/LSA and strategy teams to synchronize messaging and growth objectives.

• Clearly communicate SEO priorities to internal stakeholders and ensure consistent delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical SEO experience, preferably in an agency or multi-client setting.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing local SEO performance for service-area businesses, including both map pack and organic results.

• Experience in improving Google Business Profile rankings and local visibility within competitive markets.

• Knowledge of multi-location SEO frameworks or substantial experience in supporting location-based growth.

• Strong technical SEO background, including auditing, indexation, site structure, internal linking, awareness of Core Web Vitals, and basic schema knowledge.

• Proficient in WordPress, including on-page optimization, plugins, and implementing common technical updates.

• Ability to generate clear documentation, briefs, action plans, and performance reports.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple client campaigns simultaneously.

• Must possess prior professional remote work experience and be adept with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar).
