This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Audit and strategy: Perform comprehensive technical and content SEO audits, pinpoint AI search visibility gaps, and propose prioritized action plans.
• AI search optimization: Enhance client visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini via structured data, entity optimization, citation strategies, and answer-first content.
• Keyword and content strategy: Oversee keyword research, search intent mapping, and create content briefs for both conventional SERPs and AI platforms.
• Technical SEO: Assess crawlability, indexation, schema, Core Web Vitals, and rendering capabilities. Collaborate with client or internal development teams on resolutions.
• Measurement and reporting: Establish and analyze performance metrics across GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and AI visibility tools (Profound, Otterly, Peec AI).
• Tool exploration: Assist in evaluating new AI search tools as they become available. A sense of curiosity is essential.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Provide briefings to our writers and designers on SEO/AEO requirements and participate in client meetings as the SEO subject matter expert.
• 5–10+ years of practical SEO experience encompassing technical, on-page, and content optimization, with a preference for agency or enterprise backgrounds.
• Current engagement in AI search optimization — AEO, GEO, and AIO. We seek someone who is actively experimenting with tangible results, not merely someone claiming extensive expertise in this emerging field.
• Proficient with modern tools: Ahrefs or SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Schema.org, and at least one AI visibility tracker.
• Strong content instincts: You grasp how editorial quality, entity clarity, and answer-first structure influence rankings and AI citations.
• Clear communicator: You can convey technical concepts to non-technical clients and craft actionable recommendations for creative teams.
• Comfortable with uncertainty: You prefer testing, measuring, and adjusting over waiting for established best practices.
• A blend of B2B and B2C experience, ideally including technical/enterprise B2B and consumer brands.
• Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust based on project requirements.
• Rate: $100–$150 per hour, based on experience.
• Location: Remote (global).
• Start: Immediate, with an initial evaluation period of 90 days.
