SEO, AEO Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for enhancing the organic visibility of our digital platforms through traditional SEO techniques as well as AI-/Agentic Search methodologies.

• Further refine our SEO strategy to incorporate modern AEO practices (Answer Engine Optimization / Agentic Optimization).

• Conduct technical analysis and optimization of our websites with respect to crawling, indexing, rendering, Core Web Vitals, and structured data.

• Create scalable content and information architectures optimized for search engines and AI systems.

• Evaluate emerging search technologies such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and other LLM-based search systems.

• Identify and execute optimization strategies for AI-generated responses and semantic discoverability.

• Collaborate closely with development, content, PIM, and UX teams.

• Assist with technical requirements related to CMS, tracking, feed structures, and data quality.

• Generate reports, KPI analyses, and actionable recommendations utilizing standard SEO and analytics tools.

• Perform competitive, market, and trend analyses within the realm of Search & AI.

• Oversee and coordinate external service providers and agencies.

• Experiment with new AI workflows and automations within the SEO landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in SEO, preferably with a technical emphasis.

• Strong enthusiasm for technological advancements in AI search, LLMs, and agentic systems.

• Solid understanding of technical SEO aspects such as crawling, rendering, structured data, internal linking, and indexing.

• Familiarity with SEO tools like Sistrix, Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or equivalent software.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.

• Analytical mindset with a solid grasp of data, KPIs, and digital user journeys.

• Ideally some experience with AI tools, automation, or prompting.

• Organized, self-reliant, and practical working approach.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for interdisciplinary teamwork.
