Senior/Staff Smart Contract Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, optimize, and evaluate smart contracts in Solidity, prioritizing performance, clarity, and security.

• Create DeFi primitives from the ground up — including vaults, lending mechanisms, staking, and other protocol-level components.

• Build adapters, connectors, and plugins for our Liquid Lane product, handling varying levels of complexity.

• Play a key role in the design and development of innovative financial products.

• Conduct and assist in security audits, addressing vulnerabilities and enhancing contracts against common attack vectors.

• When necessary, extend beyond the contract layer by leveraging AI as a force multiplier: developing simple frontends, indexers, and internal tools to manage projects from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Solidity, with extensive knowledge of EVM internals: execution flow, memory/storage models, gas mechanics, and precompiles.

• Strong understanding of DeFi protocols and primitives — including the operation of lending protocols, DEXes, and stablecoins, as well as their vulnerabilities and common pitfalls in their construction.

• A robust security mindset: familiar with common attack vectors, contract optimization, and the auditing process.

• Comfortable working across the stack when necessary — capable of stepping into a full-stack developer role if required.

• Strong foundation in computer science principles — including algorithms and low-level reasoning regarding code execution.

• Nice to Have: Specialized knowledge in a specific protocol domain, even if exposure to others is limited — we value authentic depth and expertise.

• Experience in compiler development.

• Familiarity with Rust, Go, C/C++.

• Practical coding experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Exposure to Yul, Vyper, or Huff.
