This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.
• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies and governance frameworks for test engineering that align with business goals.
• Establish test architectures, methodologies, performance metrics, key performance indicators, and quality models.
• Design innovative testing solutions for intricate semiconductor validation challenges.
• Lead the selection and implementation of testing technologies for key product divisions.
• Create standards for test platforms, equipment, and qualification methodologies.
• Drive the adoption of advanced testing technologies and measurement systems.
• Oversee the development of test architecture and infrastructure strategies.
• Manage test optimization programs, performance excellence initiatives, statistical testing methods, adaptive testing approaches, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop models for testing costs and strategies for optimization.
• Direct programs for test innovation, research and development priorities, disruptive testing technologies, and next-generation testing capabilities.
• Lead, manage, and cultivate test engineering professionals.
• Set performance expectations and establish career development frameworks.
• Implement talent management strategies and mentor emerging test leaders.
• Act as a senior advisor to business leadership on testing strategies and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with business leaders and work alongside product development, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Represent the test engineering function in senior leadership discussions.
• Direct test engineering operations for major business units and manage significant resources.
• Make informed decisions regarding testing strategies, technology selections, resource allocation, test architectures, and methodology adjustments.
• Influence executive decisions on product quality and investment in testing.
• Tackle complex testing challenges, balance stakeholder priorities, navigate ambiguity, and anticipate emerging testing needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within semiconductor test engineering.
• At least 3 years of management experience leading testing teams.
• Advanced knowledge of semiconductor testing methodologies, equipment platforms, and quality frameworks.
• Required experience in semiconductor manufacturing and product development environments.
• Expert understanding of semiconductor testing principles, methodologies, and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of testing economics, coverage optimization, and quality-cost trade-offs.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire engineering teams.
• Strategic thinker with business acumen to align testing strategies with organizational goals.
• Excellent program management skills with experience leading significant testing initiatives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities at the executive level.
• Experience with the implementation of testing technologies and development of infrastructure.
• Proven capability to drive excellence and improvement in testing quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in change management.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
• Moderate travel required (15-25% of the time) to testing facilities, manufacturing sites, and customer locations.
