Senior/Staff Fuse Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance infrastructure and storage components based on FUSE.

• Create and refine integrations of Linux file systems across both kernel and user-space layers.

• Engage in work related to distributed storage and object storage infrastructure systems.

• Enhance scalability, resilience, and performance across various storage platforms.

• Optimize networking and data transfer utilizing RDMA principles.

• Diagnose performance bottlenecks across file systems, networking, memory, and I/O stacks.

• Build infrastructure tools and platform capabilities using C and C++.

• Collaborate closely with systems, storage, and platform engineering teams to tackle complex infrastructure challenges.

• Contribute to the evolution of next-generation infrastructure platforms for AI and high-performance environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing with FUSE and Linux file systems.

• Profound understanding of the architecture of Linux kernel file systems.

• Strong programming expertise in C and C++.

• Solid grasp of POSIX file system principles.

• Experience with object storage systems and distributed infrastructure.

• Knowledge of RDMA networking principles and high-speed networking technologies.

• Experience working closely with kernel-space and user-space I/O paths.

• Strong systems perspective with the capability to debug intricate infrastructure and performance issues.

• Experience in building or optimizing infrastructure platforms in production settings.
