This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Act as a strategic analytics advisor to leaders and cross-functional teams within Product, Engineering, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other departments.
• Identify key impactful questions, frame decision-making processes, and ascertain how success should be evaluated.
• Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks for acquisition, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, expansion, and customer outcomes.
• Reveal patterns across users, customers, products, and the overall business landscape.
• Spot opportunities, diagnose obstacles, and assist in defining investments and priorities.
• Design and evaluate experiments, develop guardrail metrics, and assess initiatives.
• Specify instrumentation and measurement strategies for new products, programs, and initiatives.
• Construct and manage dbt models, semantic layers, and context layers in collaboration with Analytics Engineering.
• Convert behavioral and business data into dependable datasets that support decision-making throughout Render.
• Establish analytical best practices and enhance data-driven decision-making processes.
• Guide scientists and cross-functional partners on measurement, experimentation, and data literacy.
• Investigate AI-assisted tools to expedite analytics and enhance accessibility, while ensuring precision and analytical integrity.
• Over 7 years of analytics experience.
• Proven history of shaping strategy and influencing decisions in complex or ambiguous problem environments.
• Strong judgment in business and product matters.
• Experience in defining and utilizing metrics within Product, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, or other business areas.
• Proficient SQL skills, including crafting complex and efficient SQL queries and independently navigating large datasets.
• Experience applying experimentation, statistical analysis, or other rigorous evaluation methods to gauge impact.
• Familiarity with modern analytics tools such as Metabase, Mixpanel, dbt, BigQuery, Segment, and Git.
• Track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership without direct authority.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding or analytics tools like Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Expertise in statistical methods beyond conventional A/B testing is a plus.
• Experience with developer-focused, product-led, sales-led, or usage-based businesses is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, PaaS, developer tooling, or other technically intricate products is a plus.
• Experience analyzing multi-product or multi-segment businesses is a plus.
