Senior/Staff AI Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop the foundational AI platform that drives a copilot within an innovative, AI-focused trading environment.

• Create a high-performance backend using Rust, ensuring support for streaming responses, low-latency tool execution, caching, and dependable orchestration of models and tools.

• Design robust APIs and runtime components for AI functionalities, including authentication/authorization, rate limiting, auditing, tracing, retries, and fallbacks.

• Construct a secure action infrastructure for trading workflows, encompassing deterministic order previews, confirmation flows, idempotent tool calls, and thorough audit logs.

• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to facilitate exceptional AI-native user experience patterns, such as streaming, citations/grounding, "why" explanations, and reversible actions.

• Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the business domain and assist in translating it into secure, resilient platform primitives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience with strong proficiency in any programming language.

• In-depth understanding of systems programming fundamentals, including concurrency, networking, performance profiling, reliability, and patterns in distributed systems.

• Proven experience in designing and operating production APIs/services with a focus on strong observability, correctness guarantees, and security considerations.

• Capability to collaborate with stakeholders to establish platform requirements, design the architecture, and implement it from end to end.

• A high level of self-motivation and a readiness to dive into unfamiliar areas to tackle challenges.
