Senior Platform Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Execute enhancements in infrastructure and platforms across AWS environments.

• Apply infrastructure modifications using Terraform, adhering to established module patterns and engineering standards.

• Create and uphold secure cloud solutions in accordance with AWS best practices.

• Develop automation and tools utilizing Node.js or Python.

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, tech leads, and engineering managers to achieve project milestones.

• Facilitate CI/CD processes, testing, validation, and deployment activities.

• Recognize delivery risks, troubleshoot problems, and proactively communicate obstacles.

• Contribute to initiatives focused on platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.

• Ensure that infrastructure adheres to least-privilege and secure-by-default principles.

• Assist in enhancing engineering efficiency through automation and contemporary tooling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, and associated cloud technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in building and managing infrastructure using Terraform.

• Strong comprehension of AWS security, operational excellence, and cloud best practices.

• Solid experience in automation and scripting with either Node.js or Python.

• Familiarity with working within CI/CD environments and infrastructure-as-code workflows.

• Ability to independently manage and deliver complex technical projects with minimal oversight.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience collaborating in agile engineering teams.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance productivity and quality of delivery.

• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
