Senior/Lead Engineer – AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop AI systems for production, including agents, RAG pipelines, and workflows powered by LLMs.

• Convert product requirements into detailed technical designs.

• Create comprehensive evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to assess quality, safety, and regression for LLM-based features.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI functionalities.

• Construct and manage the application layer surrounding foundation models.

• Fine-tune, distill, and modify open and closed foundation models as necessary.

• Enhance inference performance, throughput, and cost efficiency throughout the serving stack.

• Implement modern AI engineering practices across diverse infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven history of delivering complex, production-ready systems.

• At least 1 year of experience in building applications utilizing LLMs or other foundation models.

• Practical experience in designing and deploying LLM-based features in a production environment.

• Proficient coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with contemporary AI SDKs and frameworks.

• Strong understanding of the practical behavior of foundation models.

• Knowledge of architectural patterns for production LLM systems.

• Experience with embeddings and information retrieval techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Advanced degrees and contributions to open-source projects are advantageous.
