Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain enterprise-level Kubernetes platforms and cloud infrastructure.

• Oversee the delivery of infrastructure initiatives from the initial discovery phase to production deployment.

• Make architectural and technical decisions for the platform that meet customer needs.

• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure and manage configuration using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines along with GitOps workflows.

• Configure and ensure secure cluster operations, manage secrets, and enhance platform security.

• Collaborate closely with customers, vendors, and external stakeholders during technical workshops and solution discussions.

• Evaluate current infrastructure environments to spot areas for optimization.

• Create technical proposals, implementation strategies, cost estimates, and delivery timelines.

• Diagnose issues in production environments and conduct root cause analyses.

• Assist in meeting compliance, security, and operational readiness standards for government environments.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and play a role in technical leadership within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer in enterprise settings.

• Extensive knowledge in Kubernetes administration, networking, and security aspects.

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with implementing GitOps methodologies using ArgoCD or similar tools.

• Strong skills in Linux administration and troubleshooting.

• Experience in CI/CD automation and managing software delivery pipelines.

• Knowledge of secrets management solutions such as OpenBAO or HashiCorp Vault.

• Experience with identity and access management solutions like Keycloak.

• Understanding of infrastructure security practices, CIS benchmarks, and platform hardening techniques.

• Background in working with production enterprise infrastructure environments.

• Capability to work autonomously and make informed technical decisions.

• Experience in direct communication with customers and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
