Senior/Lead Cyber Security – Incident Response Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and lead incident response tabletop exercises involving security, IT, engineering, legal, and business teams.

• Manage the entire incident lifecycle, encompassing detection, triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.

• Develop and sustain incident response plans, playbooks, and runbooks.

• Collaborate with threat intelligence, SOC, and engineering teams to enhance detection and control measures.

• Engage with stakeholders during incidents and in reporting processes.

• Assist with digital forensics investigations.

• Implement PICERL and NIST frameworks.

• Direct incident response initiatives in cloud environments utilizing SIEM, CSPM, and other cloud security tools.

• Provide insights from an incident response perspective to cloud and AI security initiatives.

• Leverage AI and automation in incident response and tabletop exercise processes.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and facilitating incident response tabletop exercises or similar simulations.

• Proven ability to engage cross-functional participants and translate exercise outcomes into actionable improvements.

• Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong facilitation, relationship-building, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.

• Comprehensive experience in enterprise incident response throughout the entire incident response lifecycle.

• Practical knowledge of forensics tools such as Magnet Axiom, Velociraptor, Volatility, FTK, and Autopsy.

• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud security.

• Familiarity with cloud security and AI security concepts.

• At least one required certification or equivalent: GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CISSP.
