Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain robust, high-performance microservices utilizing Java Spring Boot.

• Create and execute scalable and distributed solutions tailored to intricate business needs.

• Employ PostgreSQL for effective database management and service integration.

• Develop and oversee containerized applications through Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes (K8S).

• Partner with stakeholders to assess requirements, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Formulate unit and integration testing strategies to ensure reliable and secure applications.

• Maintain code quality and long-term maintainability by adhering to best practices and conducting regular code reviews.

• Build and lead a team in the Vietnam office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Deep understanding of software architecture principles.

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with containerized environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Proven ability in designing scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Capability to work across both backend and infrastructure topics when necessary.

• Experience in developing SaaS/PaaS products.

• Ability to independently drive technical decisions.

• Experience in mentoring or providing technical leadership.

• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and adaptability in fast-paced product environments.

• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Pragmatic problem-solving mindset, coupled with motivation and reliability.

• Product-oriented approach to work.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with international and distributed teams.
