Senior Workers Compensation Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and make decisions as well as recommendations for claims of varying severity and complexity across different jurisdictions.

• Create and revise estimates to accurately represent exposure.

• Innovate and implement effective resolution strategies.

• Execute proactive action plans and resolution strategies developed in collaboration with customers, fronting carriers, and stakeholders.

• Efficiently and effectively communicate the status of claims to all involved parties, which may include business partners, injured employees, medical providers, and legal counsel, while utilizing various digital platforms, actively listening, and processing information.

• Maintain clear communication lines and anticipate engagement touchpoints to keep customers informed of any changes regarding each claim and to discuss strategies.

• Deliver high-quality customer service, ensure file quality, conduct timely coverage analysis, and communicate with the customer based on the application of policy information to the facts or allegations of each case.

• Meet specific service commitments made to designated accounts, as outlined in Special Account Communication (SAC) instructions, while adhering to fronting carrier handling requirements.

• Actively participate in identifying, selecting, and directing suitable internal and/or external resources needed to effectively resolve claims.

• Maintain and document claim file activities in line with established procedures and customer/fronting carrier expectations.

• To perform essential job functions, obtaining and maintaining Insurance License(s) may be necessary to comply with state and Travelers' requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Three years of experience in Workers Compensation claim handling.

• Proficiency in compensability investigations, proactive return-to-work strategies, medical management, complex injury management, initiative-driven resolution tactics, litigation management, and extensive jurisdictional knowledge.

• Strong evaluation, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the capability to review information from multiple sources to accurately achieve optimal claim outcomes and determine appropriate next steps.

• Understanding of fronting carrier relationships and reporting requirements.

• Ability to make independent decisions while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

• Develop and nurture strong working relationships with both internal and external business partners.

• Provide an excellent customer experience through effective verbal and written communication.

• Exhibit coaching, influence, and persuasion skills.

• Thrive in a team environment while adapting to and championing change in an agile setting.
