This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the effective implementation of Workday solutions for clients by collaborating with customer business teams and internal delivery teams to define, scope, and deliver solutions that are tailored to their needs and commercially viable.
• Assume responsibility for the entire delivery lifecycle in conjunction with the sales and capability Solution Architects.
• Manage all facets of your projects, which may consist of either one large, intricate project or several smaller ones.
• Commercially oversee the implementation of global Workday programs from pre-sales through to implementation and handover to AMS (Application Management Services).
• Serve as the primary client liaison between functional and technical teams and the client.
• Provide pragmatic domain expertise (HCM, Fins, Payroll, or relevant Workday Capability) to offer functional insights and thought leadership.
• Oversee all delivery aspects, including project planning, resource allocation, milestone tracking, commercial management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Lead and support integrated teams comprising colleagues, clients, and partner resources to foster knowledge sharing and develop a cohesive delivery culture.
• Establish objectives, outputs, milestones, and timelines with clients, along with corresponding contract and commercial terms.
• Identify requirements, business processes, application configurations, testing plans, and other documentation to ensure a shared understanding and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Develop well-structured and accurate deliverables, presenting them to client steering committees to secure agreement on proposed recommendations.
• Recognize and appropriately act on opportunities to generate business, including negotiations and closures at a senior client level.
• Contribute to the enhancement and growth of the Kainos Way by delivering excellence to our clients, partnering with Kainos colleagues, and mentoring other EMs through example and intentional collaboration.
• Experience in implementing back-office systems with direct exposure to successful solution delivery within a consulting or IT services setting.
• Comprehensive project management experience, covering the full lifecycle from initial opportunities to requirement development/definition, functional solution design, implementation, data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, and service management.
• Proven deployment service delivery experience within a consulting or IT services environment.
• Strong customer focus, capable of assessing client needs, building relationships, and managing expectations.
• Excellent commercial management, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
• Outstanding communication skills, able to engage with customers and colleagues effectively and credibly.
• Proficient in formally presenting to senior client audiences.
• Exceptional business writing skills, with experience in creating business cases, requirement documentation, tender documents, contracts, statements of work, and change requests.
• Proven success in identifying and pursuing opportunities for additional business.
• Capability to provide effective pre-sales support as needed, including devising and pricing viable, winning solutions in collaboration with a sales team.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and make informed decisions under pressure, balancing customer demands with Kainos' commercial interests.
• Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to manage risk effectively.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the same region, with minimal out-of-region travel as necessary.
