Senior Workday Analyst – Security Administration, Job Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the main administrator and subject matter expert for the Workday security framework.

• Design, configure, test, and implement security modifications in accordance with the principle of least privilege.

• Manage impact analysis, regression testing, and secure approvals through to Production.

• Oversee role assignments across supervisory organizations and various organization types.

• Address escalated access issues.

• Conduct regular access reviews and segregation-of-duties analyses.

• Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT Security, and SOX compliance on testing controls and providing evidence.

• Maintain security documentation, which includes role catalogs, inventories of security groups, and standard operating procedures.

• Lead the design, configuration, and governance of job families, job profiles, job classifications, management levels, and job levels.

• Work alongside HR, Compensation, and business leaders to streamline job profiles across brands.

• Uphold naming conventions, data standards, and approval workflows for changes related to job profiles and foundational data.

• Ensure alignment between job architecture and compensation grades, eligibility criteria, reporting hierarchies, requisition templates, and Talent configuration.

• Assist in reorganizations, acquisitions, and structural realignments, including impact analysis and mass data loads.

• Create and maintain advanced custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and audit reports.

• Prepare and execute EIB and mass-change loads with validation and reconciliation controls.

• Evaluate and test Workday releases for impacts on security and job architecture.

• Support tenant refresh readiness and configuration restoration.

• Provide functional support to HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition within established service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of six years of HRIS experience.

• At least four years of practical Workday configuration experience.

• Proven ownership of Workday security configuration, including domain and business process security policies, security group design, and role administration.

• Direct experience in designing or restructuring Workday job architecture, such as job families, job profiles, levels, and management levels.

• Expertise with Workday foundational data, advanced custom reports, calculated fields, and EIB data loads.

• Experience in supporting audit and compliance activities, including access reviews and segregation-of-duties analyses.

• Methodical approach to testing, documentation, and change control in a production HR system.

• Complete discretion in handling confidential information.

• Workday Pro certification in HCM Core, Security, or Reporting is preferred.

• Experience in a large multi-brand or multi-entity enterprise (5,000+ employees) is preferred.

• Familiarity with SOX or similar control environments as they pertain to HR and payroll systems is preferred.

• Knowledge of Workday Prism, Extend, or Studio, and related platforms such as ServiceNow HR Service Delivery is preferred.

• Experience in homebuilding, construction, real estate, or financial services is preferred.

• Ability to operate computer equipment and perform physical tasks such as speaking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving/carrying up to 25 lbs.

• Necessary finger dexterity.
