This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the configuration of Payroll and Time Tracking within Workday, with a strong emphasis on US Payroll setup and time entry expertise.
• Collaborate across departments - Work with HR, Payroll, and other internal teams to integrate requirements into Workday, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with the organization’s objectives.
• Evaluate proposed system modifications to discover opportunities for process enhancement and reuse, promoting efficiency throughout the organization.
• Develop and adjust custom reports for standard optimization purposes.
• Manage and configure enhancements or fixes within Workday for HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Timecards, Absences/Leaves, Payroll, and reporting.
• Establish and maintain organizational hierarchies, custom objects, and tailored security roles.
• Collaborate with People Operations teams to define and document business requirements pertaining to programs executed via Workday and other technologies.
• Assess and prioritize incoming technology fixes and enhancements.
• Advocate for and embody Samsara’s cultural principles as we expand globally and establish new offices.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in fast-paced global companies, including at least 2 years in Workday Payroll and Time Tracking configuration.
• Proficient in Workday business process configuration, security, and organizational setup.
• Familiarity with Workday HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules in both U.S. and international contexts.
• Experience in writing and executing test scenarios for system implementations and enhancements.
• Skilled in supporting project planning, gathering requirements, testing, and launching processes.
• Strong knowledge of Payroll processes and time entry designs.
• Collaborate with developers in Workday Studio and Integrations, with the ability to analyze benefits processes and troubleshoot integrations with benefit vendors.
• Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and prioritization techniques.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and delivering enhancements or fixes punctually without supervision, while providing accurate timelines, follow-ups, and necessary documentation for change management.
