Senior WordPress VIP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the corporate website on the WordPress VIP platform.

• Design and create custom Gutenberg blocks, themes, and plugins in accordance with VIP code standards.

• Oversee VIP CLI deployments, Git-based workflows, and conduct code reviews.

• Ensure security, uptime, performance, and adherence to WordPress VIP best practices.

• Diagnose production issues and collaborate with WordPress VIP support.

• Offer architectural direction for scalability and the long-term health of the platform.

• Lead migrations, redesigns, and upgrades of the website as required.

• Continuously enhance site speed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO performance.

• Create conversion-focused landing pages on HubSpot CMS for paid campaigns.

• Develop custom HubSpot templates and modules utilizing HubL.

• Utilise HubDB for dynamic content as necessary.

• Execute A/B testing, smart content, and form integrations.

• Ensure seamless integration with HubSpot workflows and tracking pixels.

• Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) across the website and landing pages.

• Implement technical SEO best practices including schema, sitemaps, canonical tags, and meta descriptions.

• Configure and manage Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.

• Set up UTM tracking, conversion tracking, and marketing pixels (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Demandbase tag, Meta Pixel).

• Translate Figma / Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive code.

• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.

• Deliver experiences that are cross-browser and mobile-first.

• Uphold adherence to Gainwell brand guidelines.

• Collaborate with Design, Campaign Managers, MarTech, and SEO teams.

• Assist the marketing team with quick turnaround times (24–48 hours) for landing pages related to paid campaigns.

• Mentor junior developers and establish best practices within the team.

• Document code, workflows, and deployment processes.

• Maintain discipline in staging to production processes and version control (Git).

• Propel process improvements and provide recommendations for the technology roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional web development experience with a strong emphasis on WordPress.

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience with the WordPress VIP Go platform.

• Expert-level proficiency in PHP 8.x and modern WordPress architecture.

• Extensive experience in Gutenberg block development (React-based custom blocks).

• Proven history of creating custom WordPress themes, plugins, and REST APIs.

• Strong understanding of VIP code review standards, security practices, and performance guidelines.

• Experience with VIP CLI, VIP Dashboard, VIP Cache, and Elasticsearch integration.

• Demonstrable track record of WordPress migrations, redesigns, or platform upgrades.

• At least 2 years of experience with HubSpot CMS, including HubL and custom module development.

• Familiarity with HubDB, HubSpot templates, and form integrations.

• Experience in building landing pages for paid campaigns.

• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), React, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.

• Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals optimization and technical SEO.

• Proficient with Git, GitHub/Bitbucket, and CI/CD workflows.

• Familiar with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and marketing pixels.

• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.

• Proven ability to mentor developers and lead technical initiatives.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
