This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Collaborate with site or hub leadership to fulfill contractual commitments in accordance with customer requirements and daily activities, which encompass all aspects of the electrical and mechanical equipment utilized in the GE wind turbine generator.
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of variable pitch and speed turbines as well as converter components.
• Interpret, comprehend, and articulate schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety protocols and regulations alongside any relevant compliance mandates.
• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Assist in various site operations as directed by the manager with minimal oversight, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct effective diagnostic analysis and develop strategies for prompt resolution.
• Record all tasks performed utilizing computer-based service reporting systems.
• Collaborate with and respond to GE Vernova’s remote operations center when required.
• Support all facets of site operations as instructed by the manager and provide mentorship to colleagues.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Capability to pass the Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• A minimum of 4 years of wind troubleshooting experience and at least 1 year in an EHS, SQC, or Lead role, or 5+ years of wind troubleshooting experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to handle repetitive weights of 50 lbs. and ascend towers up to 300 feet daily.
• Must meet specified manufacturer weight limits, which should not exceed 300 lbs including necessary gear.
• Capability and willingness to work in various environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.
• Effectively prioritize tasks in accordance with contract obligations.
• Ability and readiness to take initiative and work autonomously without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to accommodate rotating shift schedules and on-call duties based on site requirements.
• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary based on hub requirements.
